This is the aluminium door beading used when your existing door jamb lacks a rebate to house the screen door. In other words, your door jamb is flush with no steps, looking like the images below:

The beading is an 11 * 25mm powder-coated rectangular shape aluminium extrusion, which can be screw onto any timber or metal door frame. The thickness of the materials is 11mm, and 25mm is the width.
You need to install beading on three sides of the door frame, top, left and right. If your door jamb is significantly off square, with a width difference of 10mm or over at two different measuring points, you can stack two beadings on one side to close the gap.
It is generally recommended to install packers on the hinge side for a strong installation. Hence, you can stack the beading on the hinge side if required.
You can select the colour of the beading and enter the exact length in MM required on this page. We will cut the beading using the nominated cut degrees. It is recommended to select a 90-degree straight cut with 20-30mm allowance added to the requested length. So you can then trim the beadings onsite to the exact length for a perfect fit.
If you have any questions regarding the installation of the beadings, or if the beading is required. You can always contact our office at the number in the footer or the contact us page for assistance.
