This is the powder-coated aluminium profile used for awning windows with chain winders.
Due to the chain winders’ raised height, there will be gaps under the flyscreens when installed without the adaptor.
It is very common for lots of timber awning windows, where flyscreens were not incorporated in the original design, as demonstrated in the photo below:

Imagine placing the flyscreen ON TOP of the chain winder; there will be a gap across the bottom of the flyscreen due to the raised height of the chain winder.

You can purchase the extrusion by selecting the colour and length(mm) required.
We will cut a hole in the adaptor to allow the chain of the winder to run through. The default position of the hole will be in the centre.

The minimum length we can cut for the flyscreen adaptor is 280mm.
